Dailyn Rodriguez was born in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City to Cuban immigrants. Her family eventually moved
to Bergen County, New Jersey where Dailyn discovered a love of playwrighting in high school. She’s a graduate of New York University
where she earned a BFA in Dramatic Writing from Tisch School of the Arts. In 2001 she was chosen as a Walt Disney Studios Writing
Fellow. Some of her TV writing credits are: George Lopez, Ugly Betty, Lie to Me, The Glades. She has been nominated for two Alma
Awards and received a Writer’s Guild Award for writing for an Outstanding New Series (Ugly Betty).
Dailyn was the Co-Showrunner/Executive Producer of seasons four and five of Queen of the South. She is currently Co-
Showrunner/Executive Producer of The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix.
Dailyn is a member of the Board of a Directors of the Writers Guild of America, West and served on the 2020 Negotiating Committee.
She lives in Eagle Rock with her artist husband and the cutest Frenchie in the world.
