"September Hill is the Senior Program Manager for Advocacy and Outreach at the NAACP Hollywood Bureau, where she
leads the organization’s advocacy and outreach efforts for equitable opportunity and authentic representation across the
entertainment industry. With a background in nonprofit advocacy, she has successfully developed and managed initiatives
addressing social issues such as arts education, literacy, maternal mental health, homelessness, foster care, and human
trafficking.
Prior to her nonprofit work, September spent over 15 years in television production, contributing to major award shows, music
specials, and global sporting events, including the Oscars, Essence Awards, NAACP Image Awards, World Cup, and Olympic
Games. Her dual experience in media and advocacy has positioned her as a strategic leader with a deep understanding of
storytelling and community engagement.
September holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and a master’s degree from Pepperdine University."
