Michael Seitzman is the showrunner and an executive producer on the new USA Network
drama series “The Rainmaker,” based on the John Grisham novel.
Seitzman is a writer/producer and founder of Maniac Productions, a film and television
company. He was previously executive producer and showrunner on “Quantico,” “Code Black”
and “Intelligence” (CBS). He’s currently co-showrunner with Brad Falchuk on AMC’s “Rico.”
Seitzman has written several films, including “North Country,” which received two Academy
Award nominations for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Charlize Theron) and Best Actress in a
Supporting Role (Frances McDormand). He produced the horror feature “Incarnate,” starring
Aaron Eckhart.
He’s currently producing the feature film adaptation of John Grisham’s “The Testament,” written
by Mike Weiss and directed by David Gordon Greene; Elmore Leonard’s “Cuba Libre,” written by
Tad Quill; and “X-Troop,” written and directed by Tom McCarthy.
Recent unscripted television includes “Choir” for Disney+, directed by Rudy Valdez, and an
unscripted version of “X-Troop."
